About Fashion Takes Action
From 2014-2023 FTA hosted the World Ethical Apparel Roundtable (WEAR) conference, an annual event that convened industry stakeholders to learn from global leaders, to collaborate and accelerate our efforts toward progress.
In addition, we have spent the past 9 years working hard to accelerate circularity for textiles and apparel, and through this have seen an increased appetite for textile waste diversion, reuse, recycling and recovery across the value chain. To address this, FTA launched the Canadian Circular Textiles Consortium (CCTC) in 2023, currently a network of 120+ stakeholders from across the textiles and apparel value chain.
The CCTC aims to foster collective action through sharing key learnings, resources, and data to enhance and accelerate circular initiatives and projects in the Canadian apparel and textile industry; and reduce duplication of industry efforts towards a common North Star.
To this end, Fashion Takes Action is thrilled to host a dedicated Textiles & Apparel Track at the 2025 Canadian Circular Economy Summit!
